Can I get colored contacts for astigmatism?
Yes, but true toric colored contacts are rare and often limited to a few shades and parameters. Most people with astigmatism use plano colored lenses for the look, spherical powered lenses with doctor approval, or clear toric lenses for full correction.
What is the difference between toric and regular colored contacts?
Toric lenses have two different powers at different angles plus CYL and axis values, and they stay stable on the eye so astigmatism correction stays aligned. Regular (spherical) colored lenses have one uniform power and do not correct astigmatism.
Why are toric colored contacts so rare?
Printing a color pattern on a toric lens is complex because the pattern must stay aligned with the cylinder correction, and demand for cosmetic toric lenses is still small. Most manufacturers simply do not produce them.
Can I wear plano colored contacts if I have astigmatism?
