Kaie Taniya Cosplay Contact Lenses
Dark brown hair in a bun, loose strands at the front. Olive field jacket, deep purple turtleneck. A small, polite, close-lipped smile. Violet on warm brown hair and warm skin can go hard and cartoonish, or soft and muddy. This pair sits between.
A Violet That Stays Soft
Deep violet with a smoky lavender outer ring. Obsidian-purple at the core, not bright purple. The grey-lavender rim is what keeps it calm. On a warm face, it pulls the violet into shadow instead of sitting on the skin like a printed printed sticker. A deep violet lens with a smoky lavender outer ring softens the transition between violet and a warm brown iris. The eye still looks like an eye. I expected a filter. I got odd eyes with a pulse.
The Smoky Rim and the Iris Fibre
The outer edge feathers out. A crisp rim makes violet look pasted on; this one fades, so the colour ends on its own edge. Pigment density decides whether a coloured lens reads as an eye or as a flat flat printed disc. This one sits mid-weight: dense enough to hold under convention hall light, fine enough that iris fibre still shows. Close up, soft radial strands sit tighter near the middle, looser toward the smoky ring.
Centre, Pupil, and Both Eyes
A clear centre lets your natural iris warm the lens, not a printed dot faking depth. The pupil ring is soft. A hard pupil edge kills a close-lipped smile. Left and right match, so the lavender ring sits at the same height on both sides. I have worn pairs where one eye ran half a shade warmer; you only catch it in daylight.
Comfort Through a Long Build
The first ten minutes felt like nothing. No scratch at the lid, no dryness at the corners. I wore them through a slow build, wig pins, jacket adjustments, and a long afternoon of small talk. I forgot them. Blink a few times before you judge the fit; the edge settles as it warms. New to lenses? Practise insertion the night before.
In Photos, Then Back to Her
CCUS Eyewear builds cosplay contact lenses for photos and convention floors. Every pair is checked for left-right pattern match, and colour is described by how it behaves at the core, through the fibre, and at the rim. If a shade reads differently than you pictured, tell us. Clean, dry hands, case when they're out, and follow the care guidance that comes with your pair.
The review we hear most
"I have built close to sixty characters, and I am picky about purple. Most violet lenses turn my brown eyes into flat stickers. This one kept the smoky ring soft enough that the reference smile still looked like a smile. I wore it all day and forgot the lens was there."

Why CCUS Eyewear
CCUS Eyewear builds cosplay contact lenses for photographs as much as for convention floors. Every pair is checked for left-right pattern match, and we describe colour the way it behaves, core and rim and falloff, so you know what lands on your eye before it arrives. If a shade reads differently than you pictured, tell us.
