Makoto Tachikawa Cosplay Contact Lenses
Short brown hair. Blunt bangs under a dark cap. A dark hooded top. Then the eyes: olive green, with a centre lit from behind. That centre is the whole build — the costume carries the silhouette, the lens carries the light.
A Lime Core That Stays Lit
A yellow-lime ring sits around the pupil, warm and lit, the way a real iris brightens near the centre. Outside it, the body settles into olive green, and a deep moss green rim closes it down. The lime gives the eye a light source; the moss gives that light somewhere to end.
Three Zones, One Iris
The lens pairs a yellow-lime inner ring with a deep moss green outer rim around an olive green mid-iris. The centre stays clear around the pupil, so your own iris supplies depth under the lime. Each zone keeps its role from first glance to final photo.
Moss Rim, Feathered Edge
Pigment density is why the rim works. It sits mid-weight: dense enough that the moss green holds under indoor light, fine enough that fibre still reads through the olive body. The outer edge feathers out, so the dark rim blends like part of your eye.
Fibre, Depth and Match
Fine radial strands fan out from the centre, tighter near the pupil, looser toward the rim. That fibre makes the olive green read as an iris with depth and movement. Both lenses come from one pattern: the lime ring sits at the same height on each side, and the moss carries the same weight left and right. Small detail. You notice it when someone looks straight at you.
Comfort Through the Whole Build
The first ten minutes felt like nothing: smooth at the lid, easy at the corners. I wore them through a wig fitting, bangs trimmed blunt and even, cap checks, and hours of standing around. Late afternoon, I remembered them, and that was the whole thought. Blink a few times before you judge the fit; the edge settles as it warms. First pair? Practise the night before.
Indoor lighting is where the lime core earns its keep. Face into the light for the first photo of the day, then turn away and check the middle again; the lime ring still reads and the moss rim still holds. On a group shot, stand at the edge of the line and the core still does its job.
The review we hear most
"Green lenses are my usual kit, and this one kept the lime ring all day. My editor asked what I changed. Nothing. It is also the first pair I forgot I was wearing across a nine-hour build."

Why CCUS Eyewear
CCUS Eyewear builds cosplay contact lenses for long days in costume. Every pair is checked for left-right pattern match, and we describe colour by behaviour — core, body, rim — so you know what lands on your eye before it arrives. Tell us how the olive reads on you.
Clean, dry hands, case when they're out, and follow the care guidance that comes with your pair.
